Customer Service Bulletin from Citroёn Classics

In order to provide our valued customers with the standard of service that we think they deserve, we at Citroёn Classics have had to introduce some changes. SCROLL DOWN FOR FULL DETAILS.

Technical Enquiry service

We will endeavour to respond to all email technical enquiries within 48 hours and will only be able to accept telephone Technical / Advice enquiries during the following times Monday to Friday; 08.00 – 09.00 and from 16.00 to 17.00. 

We cannot guarantee to be able to answer all technical enquiries, but will use our hard earned expertise and experience with Classic Citroёns to do our best. 

Unfortunately during busy times we will have to prioritise on customer cars in the workshop and the processing of parts orders above technical queries. This is In order to provide the best service possible within agreed time limits, so please bear with us.

Parts orders

Our preferred method of receiving parts orders is via our website where you the customer can earn loyalty points (as long as you remember to log in) and these can be redeemed against future orders on the website. This method enables our team to process your order as fast as possible and we will be updating our site with many more parts over the next few months, so please do keep browsing.

Telephone and email orders will still be accepted at any time, but please be aware that they can take longer to process. We process all orders in the order that they are received, however if you tell us that an order is urgent and requires fast shipping, we'll do our best to get your order despatched as soon as possible.

General enquiries

General enquiries are still being accepted at any time by phone and email. A technical enquiry is one that our office staff cannot answer so need the workshop staff to provide the answers.

We hope you will accept these changes which will enable us to provide a more efficient service to you our customers.

We accept payment by cash, cheque, bank transfer, Paypal and most major debit and credit cards, including American Express.

Please note that we do not buy and sell cars ourselves, however we maintain a database of cars we know of for sale and of people looking to buy cars, so we can match buyers and sellers if we can. We do not charge a penny for this service!

Citroen Classics offer a range of services to support you, the owner and driver of an important piece of motoring history. We are here to help you to keep your classic Citroen in useable or better condition so it is ready to go whenever and wherever you wish to take it. We are well versed in all aspects of maintaining and restoring all classic Citroens, but our particular speciality are the Citroen DS models, and also include the ID19 and ID20 models. We stock a large range of Citroen DS Parts which are available to buy at our premises, over the phone, by email or through our website. Although D Models are our speciality, a larger proportion of our work now includes the older Citroen Traction Avant (Light 15, Big 15 and 6 Cylinder) and utilitarian H Van models. As well as the Citroen DS Parts previously mentioned, we also stock an ever-increasing range of HY van parts and Citroen Traction Avant parts. We have a good working knowledge of the hydraulic systems which are unique to the DS and other Citroen models with oleopneumatic suspension and know how to properly diagnose and repair these systems. Our parts department has all the hydraulic Citroen DS Parts needed to repair or overhaul your hydraulic system. In our on-site body shop we carry out high quality body and structural repairs and restoration to all models and many cases offer a lifetime warranty against rust on our repairs.  We stock repair sections for repairing Citroen DS body panels and the strong platform chassis unique to the DS. Some of these repair sections we produce ourselves as we find the standard ones available to be very flimsy and of poor quality and this includes some of the sections to repair Citroen Traction Avant bodywork.  Older Citroen models, certainly those made before the mid-1960’s and in particular the Traction Avant and HY Van had no oil filters and require very frequent greasing and oil changes. We are happy to provide this “mini service” by appointment while you wait.
