4 of the best classic car events to visit in 2014

We’re passionate about classic Citroens at Citroen Classics, as you can probably gather by our site. When we get any spare time off (what’s that?) we like to travel and check out other classic vehicles at memorable shows around the country. Here’s our take on the best classic car events to visit this year.

  1. Retromobile: Make a date in your diary for the 5th to the 9th February and buy tickets for the Retromobile exhibition in Paris, Porte de Versailles. This exhibition is a celebration of automotive passion and you’ll find hundreds of classic cars, automobile clubs, fans and fellow enthusiasts. Where better to spot classic Citroens?

  2. Spring Autojumble: Head to one of the largest collections of classic cars in the country and spend time at Beaulieu on the 17th and 18th May. You can make a day or the weekend of it, buy spares and motoring memorabilia at the autojumble, visit the National Motor Museum, Palace House, Beaulieu Abbey and World of Top Gear exhibition. It’s a fabulous way to spend a weekend in May.

  3. London to Brighton: Leave 1st June free for the infamous London to Brighton run and you could enter your classic Citroen in a brilliant day out. You’ll get to take a leisurely drive to the south coast, enjoy beautiful countryside on the way and get the chance to show off your cherished car to fellow Citroen fans.

  4. NEC Classic Car Show: 14th – 16th November is the date this time for the Lancashire Insurance classic car show in Birmingham. You’ll find over 1500 cars from all eras at the event and are sure to see quite a few French fancies taking up pride of place. You never know, you might end up buying another DS to add to your collection!

Take a trip to any of these classic events this year and you’ll be talking it for days, possibly months afterwards.
