Most classic Citroens are mechanically very strong with some components going for 40 years and hundreds of thousands of miles without wearing out.
However, nothing can last forever and major components are now beginning to need reconditioning. Should you car need a component to be reconditioned or an exchange unit fitted, Citroen Classics can do it.
Or experience and ability to source good quality components, coupled with a versatile machine shop, means we can recondition your engine or supply and fit a reconditioned exchange engine which is as good, and in many cases better than the one your car was fitted with at the factory.
If your gearbox is whining or giving trouble, sometimes it can be repaired without removing it from the car. For D models, we prefer to repair your gearbox or fit a known good second hand one, but if you want a completely rebuilt exchange gearbox, we can help here too. For other models we will usually supply and fit a good quality reconditioned exchange part.
Seats, fuel tanks, suspension, brakes, driveshafts - you name it, we can either recondition the part ourselves, have it reconditioned or source a reconditioned exchange part for you, which can then be fitted, properly adjusted, set up and tested in our workshop before we hand your vehicle back to you.
